The Official S3 Bags Tournament Rules
How we get our toss on.
_Games are played to 15 points. First team to win 2 games wins the match.
Please read all the rules below:
Game Rules
1. Each team will get 4 bags. 2 different colors.
2. One member from each team will stand next to each board.
3. To determine who goes first or second, one member from each team at one of the boards will toss a bag. Whichever team lands closer to the hole gets to decide whether they want to toss first or second. If both team members get it in the hole, other than being awesome, the two teammates that didn't throw the first time must reattempt this.
4. The 2 players standing next to a board will take turns tossing the bags until all have been thrown. You may toss from standing as far forward as the front of the board on your side.
5. Bags on the board count as 1 point. Bags in the hole count as 3.
6. If a bag hits the floor first and ends up on the board, it does NOT count for points. These bags should be taken off the board before the next bag is thrown.
7. Bags that are knocked off the boards also do not count for points. Once all 8 bags have been thrown, points will be calculated. Only the overall advantage in points will be recorded. For example, if one team has 5 points, and the other has 4, the team that scored 5 points will get 1 point and get to throw first in the next round.
8. The first team to reach 15 points wins that game! You do not have to hit 15 points exactly.
Sportsmanship
We'll keep this short and sweet because it goes without saying. Even though there is a cash prize for the winning teams, this is meant to be a fun, social tournament. Any unacceptable behavior, cursing, insulting, or anything determined by S3 staff to take away from the low-key meaning of the tournament WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Of course winning is cool, but seriously, bags is a very chill game, so getting worked up over this doesn't even make any sense. Just come and have a good time over some beers and meet some new people! S3 reserves the exclusive right to remove any player from the tournament that violates our code of good sportsmanship and will not provide a refund. We can't imagine any of you doing any of these things though.
